Not My Home Poem

NOT MY HOME
I’m camping here and my tent is strong
Though no tent ever lasts for long
But this is not my home
The zip may jam, the canvas sags
The wind has ripped some parts to rags
But this is not my home
The seams leak – the ropes fray
The tarp tears and pegs give way
But this is not my home
I expect the storm and the bleaching sun
I know I AM – I am not alone
And my wearing tabernacle sighs
But this is not my home
